Rise for a Cause: #KARMAPROJECT
#KARMAPROJECT
We are 4 individuals and we all have spent a lot of time in south Goa now and are so grateful for our precious time and experiences here. One of the biggest and most beautiful parts of this time have been feeding and sharing love with the local animals. Every day we cook pots of rice to feed the dogs as they are so hungry and unable to find food, especially in these days entering into the Monsoon season. Some of them are so scared to come close and to even get the food because unfortunately they are being improperly treated. In these days through this lockdown period we really had to find more time to help feed them as the animals have all become so skinny. We all need to raise awareness right now and make a change. In our community this needs immediate attention. For this matter, we have decide to create #KARMA PROJECT!
We want to raise and donate as much money as possible to Animal Rescue Goa, which was founded by Janie, a lady who inspires us greatly. Janie single handedly started an animal rescue centre from her living area when she came to Goa and noticed how bad the situation was here. Janie's mission is to stop so many stray animals starving, reproducing and being abused or involved in accidents. Monsoon season is the hardest time for the animals. To achieve ARC mission they provide:
· Emergency care and treatment for ill and injured animals
· Anti-rabies vaccinations for stray dogs in the local area
· Combination injections to prevent Parvo (Canine Parvovirus), Canine Distemper and other fatal diseases
· A sterilisation project to contribute to India's wider Animal Birth Control Programme
· Monsoon feeding programme
· Education and awareness raising in local communities on how to care for and treat their pets and the local strays
In exchange for your donations we are offering 1 week of free yoga events from Shambhala Garden Yoga (instagram @shambhalayogagarden) starting with the 21st of June INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
and content video message related from Shivling Ayurveda (instagram @shivling_ayurveda).
Plus we are going to publish under the #KARMAPROJECT contents related to the actual situation in the area and the dogs and cats we are trying to save.
