RIP Ryan- fundraiser for the Alleys

Donation protected

On November 7th, my friend Silke and her husband Robert Alley received the news no parent wants to hear. Their 21 year old son had commited suicide.

I met Ryan on our first day at our new duty station, where the Army had sent my husband and the only person I knew (through facebook) was Silke. We arrived and our hired workers, didn't show up to unload our truck. Silke was quick to call her husband and son, no questions asked. Ryan called his friend and within 3 hours our household goods were unloaded and we had made new friends.

Until this day nobody knows why Ryan did what he did.
He was an outgoing, smart, good looking, fun and friendly young man. He loved his brother Toby and helped taking care of his little sister Lea, a beautiful little girl, who's wheelchair bound and needs 24h care.

Unfortunately nobody knew what was going on in his mind.

The absolute nightmare began, not only did they have to talk to police, insurance, answer calls from family, friends, the funeral home- the bills started rolling in.

Ryan, only 21 years old,  took his life with a gun in his truck. His parents took out a loan to help Ryan finance his truck, so they are still making payments on it- as of now the insurance won't cover the clean up costs.
They found out the hard way that Ryan did not have life insurance to cover the funeral expenses.

Being a military family means all your family and friends are scattered all over the world. It breaks my heart that I can't be there to help, support my dear friend in these times of grief. I hope we can get together and help with at least the financial part of this tragedy.

Every little bit helps!

Thank you so much for every Dollar, every share!
