R.I.P. Miguel Morales
On October 1st, 2017, my father Luis Miguel Morales passed away due to cancer. We had no idea he had aggressive cancer. While we desperately tried to find a way to treat this after finding out too late, my father did his best to keep everyone uplifted by telling them jokes and asking them to be happy even while he was in severe pain. He was such a loving and wonderful man (my sister calls him superdad), he always treated everyone with the utmost love and kindness. Within the week he passed away, leaving everyone shattered and confused. His wife is inconsolable and unable to accept what has happened, and they have a 16 year old son who is also completely devastated. My sister and I are doing our best to process this while doing everything we can to arrange his funeral. Finally, his oldest son is still in Guatemala. Family and friends are quickly trying to organize an effort for arrangements to be made to help my family in this painful time. Anything helps!
