R.I.P. Henry Braun

Henry Braun passed away on January 24, 2018 shortly after 1300, following a brief battle with cancer.

Henry passed away at the age of 63, leaving behind his loving family.  Throughout his 18 year career at Matsqui Institution with the Correctional Service of Canada, many had the pleasure of getting to know him.  Henry was a positive influence to all that he came in contact with.  He had a great personality and passion for life.  His devotion to his faith and family was to be commended.  He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him, both at work and outside of work.

The Celebration of Life for Henry will be held on Monday, February 5th at 1330h hrs. It will be taking place at the LifeSpring Church located at 2393 West Railway street in Abbotsford. The Honour Guard will be attending the proceedings and all staff are encouraged to wear either their Dress Uniform or their best work uniform. As per Henry’s request, he has been cremated, so there will be no casket at the Celebration of Life.

This page is being set up to assist with the funeral costs and to assist his wife Marlene and the family while they are going through this very difficult time.  Once again, I just want to thank everyone on behalf of Henry’s wife, Marlene, for the outpouring of support.
