RIP Abuela - Securing Mami A Home

It is with great sorrow I report that George "Jibaro" Torres' abuelita, Doña Gloria, has transitioned into a beautiful butterfly and is resting in the bosom of her maker as of the evening of July 15, 2017. I'm sure you understand the devastation of losing a loved one, and if you know George, you would also know that his Mamá is his world.

George is known for his selflessness, compassion and dedication to the community and thousands of others across the country. His passion to help others in whichever capacity he can that is humanly possible is what drives him.

George's mother resided with her mother. This painful event has shifted the circumstances for her. Due to health issues, she will not be able to relocate out of Florida so there's an urgent need to stabilize secured housing for Jibaro's mother.

My petition today is that we, the community, his friends, colleagues and famigos come together and provide a bit of support, not only out of appreciation for this incredible human (and mommies in general) but also because we genuinely love and care.
