Riley's Recovery Fund

Note: Let's keep this a surprise from Riley, so please be careful where you share it! There's an option to hide a Facebook post from a specific person, instructions here. Thanks!

Riley is one of the most impressive people whom we have the pleasure and fortune to call our friend and brother. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017, double majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Theater Arts. He’s also a skilled magician - if you’re a magic aficionado in Los Angeles, you may have seen him performing at the Magic Castle in Hollywood Hills.

But this only scratches the surface of the Riley we know. When you first meet him, you somehow feel as if you’re catching up with an old friend. His indiscriminate and diverse sense of humor, wild irreverence, and unquestioning acceptance of everyone always puts people at ease and brings together those around him. And he’s incredibly empathetic and understanding; somehow he always knows exactly what you need to hear.

Riley’s warmth as a friend is matched only by his multidimensional creativity. During his college years we often saw him freestyle rapping, painting murals, playing (multiple!) instruments, and, of course, performing magic and acting in theater productions.

Sadly, Riley was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer about 6 months ago. His prognosis is looking favorable and he’s responded well to treatment thus far, but his journey to overcoming this disease isn’t over. While Riley may be reluctant to ask for our help, his medical bills aren’t going to pay themselves, and your contribution can go a long way in helping him get back on his feet once he recovers.

And to our fellow ZBT brothers: though we are scattered across four corners of the earth, remember that we are united through our brotherhood, no matter the circumstance. It’s great to be a Zebe.
