We are Righteous Kitchen - a local family owned catering company in Chicago's western suburbs that specializes in fresh, all natural meal prep and delivery in volume: to schools, offices, day cares, homes. Like so many businesses, we are feeling the pain of financial effects of the coronavirus. Yet, we count our blessings. We have our health. And since our kitchen is not as busy as usual right now, we see this time as an opportunity—a chance to respond. We want to feed the people keeping our friends and neighbors healthy. The health care responders. We want to Feed the Frontline.

We are raising funds to cover the cost of preparing and delivering at least 100 FREE meals per day to local hospital doctors, nurses, and staff on the coronavirus front lines. If you can help us lighten their incredible mission with a good meal that keeps them focused and fed—we think we’ll all feel like we can do something meaningful for our community in this crazy time.

Why $20,000?
Our experience tells us that’s what it will cost will be to prepare and deliver these 100+ meals every day for the next 20 days. Each homemade, all natural, chef-made meal costs between $8-$10 to prepare, package, and deliver. So for every $10 you donate, we are able to deliver a free, fresh, complete meal to someone on the front-lines. And with the coronavirus, it feels like every day changes. So if we need to make more or extend Feed The Frontline we will and we will let you know, too. We have the infrastructure to deliver over 500 meals per day if necessary and we’re willing and able. With your support.

The hospitals.
To get meals to the front lines ASAP, Righteous Kitchen is working parallel paths. We are we raising funds and securing hospital partners concurrently so that we can move on a moment’s notice. As we confirm hospital partners we will list them here.

We think Feed The Frontline is a way to help the people helping the greater “us” and help our staff of righteous chefs, bakers, and delivery drivers stay on the payroll so they can feed their families too.

P.S.  While we all navigate the uncharted waters of coronavirus, our experience in food service, home meal delivery, food prep and safety and sanitation, is not uncharted. We have been doing meal delivery for a long time. This is what we do every single day.  We have the systems in place and the ovens fired up and we’re ready to feed those working to get us through these unusual times. Our strict food safety and sanitation standards follow those set forth by the CDC and all meals are delivered by our team – who are all trained and educated in proper food handling and sanitation and delivery. There are no 3rd party delivery drivers, but our own trained team to deliver in coordination with hospital personnel.
