We always knew what we wanted and we made plans for it. We would get married, have successful careers, start a family, go to school plays, sporting events, have family traditions, and be happy. John and I had a plan for everything; we soon learned that life had other plans for the two of us. We never imagined that we would struggle with fertility. After all, that wasn’t part of the plan.
After years of fertility treatments, we recognize that our family will be completed through adoption. Though it has been a difficult time, we have realized that perhaps it was supposed to be this way all along. It is funny how life works; it may not be what you planned for, but maybe it’s what you are called to do and could become the best part of your life!
The average domestic infant adoption costs between $20,000-$40,000 and though we feel we are being called down this path; we are faced with a financial burden, a burden that would be difficult to carry alone. Between the application fees, the cost of the home study, the birth mother’s expenses and legal fees, the cost of adoption can quickly add up. Additionally, the years of fertility treatments that John and I underwent exhausted much of our savings. So, it is with great humility that we reach out to you. We ask that you please consider donating to our cause and join us in the journey of creating our family. We know our child is out there waiting for us, we just need your help to make it happen.
Regardless if you choose to contribute toward our adoption, we hope that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This journey can be long and unpredictable and we are grateful to everyone who is standing with us. In either case, we will continue to keep you posted along the way.
