Ride the Lightning Haunted House

For more than three decades I have been creating haunted houses in my neighborhood and bringing a few hundred people through just because I love to scare people at Halloween. Well, okay, I love to scare people all year long.
I know there are more socially relevant causes to donate to especially at this time but this is a passion I have and this year I had some unexpected financial setbacks (my car died and my plumbing backed up) that make putting on the haunt a bit of a challenge.
Last year donations helped elevate Dracula's Castle Haunt to great heights.
This year we want to up our game with Ride the Lightning, a death row haunt where we will electrocute a demon possessed killer.
Here are a list of some of the expenses:
Electric chair $450
Inmate costumes $150
Prison guard costumes and props $175
UV make up $120
UV/Black lights $500
Fixing breaker box no one really gets electrocuted $100
Full size Snickers bars for trick or treaters $250
Fog juice and burnt flesh scent $50
Rear projection screen $50
Wood for construction $100
Here are some of the concept designs for this year.
I am fortunate to have talented friends who work as artists, writers, sound designers, graphic designers, filmmakers and actors who volunteer to help make these haunts fun for everyone.
Raising this money will greatly hep offsetting the cost of the haunt and will allow me to put on another great show for the neighborhood and let people come through for free (I have never charged admission).
Halloween is my favorite holiday and I start planning each year's haunt the day after Halloween before the blood even has time to dry. I love providing a scary good time to the kids and adults in the neighborhood. We get close to 500 people coming through the haunt and after 30 years it's a challenge to keep coming up with new ideas and a fun haunt. You can be a part of making this year's haunt an electrifyingly good show by being a part of this campaign.
Give what you can $5, $10 or $20 would be fabulous. And if any of you can afford $50 or $100 I will send you a digital download of your personalized toe tag post execution. Everyone who donates will get a social media shout out to them and/or your business.
