Ride For Doug 2020 - Grad Edition
Ride For Doug 2020 is in its 14th year as an annual fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy.
2020 is also the year that Doug graduates from Grade 12. Thanks to the support of the hundreds of riders and donors over the years, Doug has been able grab life by the handlebars and thunder his way to graduation. Many of you have helped along the way.
It takes a village to raise a child - especially one like this.
In addition to the generous donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Ride For Doug donors have supported some special projects.
1) We raised $15,000 towards the installation of a stairlift in Doug's home
2) For the past 2 years, we've raised $18,000 towards an accessible vehicle. Wheelchair vehicles are not cheap, and outfitting one that Doug can drive isn't either.
COVID-19 has thrown Ride For Doug a massive challenge this year. We are meeting it by changing the format of the ride to one where we can maintain social distancing while still going on a ride. Sadly, that means turning the BBQ into a Livestream.

Donations made on the GoFundMe page (here) are not tax receiptable. They will be added to the money raised towards a long term accessible vehicle.
All donations this year are being collected online. There are no registration fees for this year's ride.
