Ricky is innocent and is suffering in a Florida prison praying for a miracle that I can get the right attorney to prove he is wrongfully convicted. He should be with his two children right now, they are suffering without him.

As most of you have heard, my brother Ricky, is in dire need of help. I am Alisha, Ricky’s sister and we are extremely close. We are only 1 1/2 years apart and our family has been torn apart.

You will immediately understand why I will never stop until I prove his innocence. If you personally know Ricky, you know he is a family man, very kind and a gentle loving father who his children adore and miss him terribly. As a brother he is my best friend, and it is breaking my heart to see him go through the pain and suffering that he has had to endure these last few years. I feel completely helpless.

Ricky’s Life was forever changed in 2015 and not a minute goes by that he is not fighting to stay positive and in constant prayer to keep his head up and hold on to an inch of hope that he will one day be set free as an innocent man. But, he needs your help.

I am raising funds to hire an appellate attorney for Ricky’s appeal. The cost is currently $25,000, this is above and beyond what we have spent for his defense attorney in the initial trial and for his every day essentials that he needs to survive in the prison.

As Ricky says in his letters to our family, “you need to be a millionaire to prove your innocence” and he is sadly correct. I pray that he does not have to spend years or decades in a prison praying to stay alive and safe as we see many wrongfully convicted innocent people unfortunately do.

We cannot do this alone and that is why I am coming to you now, begging you to help my brother. My family and I cannot sit back and watch my brother suffer and his life and health be in jeopardy because we cannot afford the appeal.

I know Ricky doesn’t like to share his personal business but I just want to share and I hope you may understand how serious this is for my brother. His life and health is in grave danger. You see Ricky has a very rare neurological nerve disease where once damaged, the nerves cannot heal themselves and the nerve will die. (HNPP) (Neuropathy) He is not getting proper health care and he is suffering tremendously. In just 7 short months, his right leg is in atrophy and he has lost feeling in his right foot. The only way for us to communicate has been through writing letters and he says it pains him greatly in his hand to even write us but he tries because he just wants to stay in contact with his family, he has to in order to stay in the right frame of mind.

My family has endured so much and Ricky and his children have lost so much already and he is trying desperately to get back home to his family. He is an innocent man who deserves to have the truth come out, and to be reunited with his children who need him the most.
