I had two strokes on my birthday March 14th 2013, since then I have been in a wheelchair. I broke an actuator on my powered wheelchair last month, it's the actuator that helps me sit upright. I am now no longer on the insurance that paid for the chair. I am now on Medacaid and it's their policy not to pay for repairs for durable medical equipment. So they are buying me a new chair, but with only 3 of the 4 functions of my existing chair. The added function is to raisethe seat so that I can reach a higher counter or table. To get this feature we need to pay out of pocket. I have a narrow window to get this done, we have about 3 weeks. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. My old chair is a Permobil M300. My new chair is a Permobil M3, a newer version.
