1/18 - Due to the continued support of so many people, we are again RAISING THE ROOF... err... ummm... GOAL, raising the goal AGAIN!! You guys and ladies continue to show what incredible people do. Let’s continue to shower with blessings this family!
1/17 - What a generous outpouring of support and love! I’m blown away as I know the entire Perry family is. You friends and family have done it again, 2 goals reached so let’s have another milestone! Don’t stop now! Today marks another great moment in time when we can read this verse of scripture with confidence “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Galatians 5:14
1/16 - Are you guys kidding?! Due to the overwhelming support already received, we are increasing the goal for Rick and Sharon. One item of note - Rick is the sole provider for their household and obviously will be without work for these several weeks, so let's shower them with grace and love as we financially support them! I'm so impressed and in awe of your response so far. This is truly incredible!! A quick message from Wendi - "This lifts a HUGE burden and worry, thank you!!"
Several days ago, Rick Perry, a great friend of the faith and a true compassionate missionary to so many, was diagnosed with a collpased lung from flu like symptoms and spent time in the hospital. He experienced many problematic issues while in the hospital including intense vomiting. During the process of his recovery, it was discovered he has a rupture in his esophagus. It must be fixed immediately as it's too dangerous to leave until later. Surgery is required immediately to repair. According to doctors, the surgery is extremely painful and has a recovery time of 3 weeks to a month. As many of you know, Rick is selfless and caring, giving of his time regularly to the homeless ministry in downtown Memphis "Church Without Doors" and has been on countless mission trips all over the country where he has used his skillset as a plumber and handy man to share and spread the gospel of Jesus through love to others. He is truly a special, selfless man and deserves our help. Our goal is the standard $1000, but please give to this wonderful man and his family as you feel led to do. His wife, Sharon, needs our support through this difficult time in prayers and support. If you are not willing to give financially, it's perfectly ok. We just ask for prayer during their recovery time. The funds collected will go srtraight to Rick and Sharon to be used for medical care / treatment and for Sharon to use while she stays with Rick during this recovery. We believe there's great value in many people lifting prayers of comfort for them during this time. Thanks for your consideration to support this amazing man and his wife and family and God bless!
