Rick Clark's album production

Once there was a very good music group called The Byrds.  A man named Gene Clark was in that group. But before that, there was the Clark family, which also included a younger brother named Rick Clark, who was also a gifted songwriter.
Rick sometimes helped his brother write songs and sing backups on them. Many times, his name was not always put on the album credits. Still, all the time he was writing songs, being influenced by many of the same artists as Gene.  And all these years later, Rick has recorded dozens of great songs, but not one was put on a properly released album. All who heard them have acknowledged that they are very well written songs and cannot believe none were ever released. They only exist today as collections on many CDs.
Starting today, this will change. This is about singer-songwriter Rick Clark and finally sharing his work of excellent songs with the many who have waited years to hear.

How the money will be spent.
Rick has recorded the full album (and it is great), minus some drums. He is currently indebted to the studio for $2,000 and cannot get his songs out until the full amount is paid. From there, we will finish them elsewhere.
Then, bringing the songs up north, he still needs to record the drums and maybe a couple backing vocals. This will run about $500 (recording is not cheap).
Next, there needs to be production (mixing levels, tone adjustments, etc), which will cost another $250.
Then comes mastering. This involves strengthening or deminishing the high and low frequencies on each instrumental and vocal track of a song before it is sent off for manufacturing (it makes a big difference in quality and makes it professional. Rick deserves professional work.) At $50 per song, this could cost $500.
Last is manufacturing. Depending on the presales (the number of people who purchase the album ahead of time), the pressing of CDs could run about $1,000.
All totalling $4,250.  Add to this the 5% fee that GoFundMe charges and it will cost $4,463. I have rounded this up. Total is $4,500.
This seems like a lot, but if the album is $20 each, only 225 people will cover it.

Rick, along with his friends and family are so very grateful for the support we are hoping many will share. Some of us have already heard some of the unfinished song tracks and can't wait to finally have a product. We hope you will share in the enthusiasm and join together with us. Every person will receive a signed copy of the upcoming album who helps in the cost. And the support will mean so much to a man who has been nothing but kind and giving (not to mention Rick being said to be the calm anchor in the storm of those crazy times), whose only reward was being slighted by the record companies and artists. It's time he had his due.

A $25 donation will receive the new signed CD album and cover shipping too! These first albums and extras will go fast, so quickly get yours soon!
