Rick and Sarah Leazer

Donation protected
Rick and Sarah Leazer has been staying in their home in Spring, TX for the past 15 years.  Their home is way north of Houston shore. Sarah felt safe from the ‘onslaught’ of “ Harvey” as she was a long distance from the predicted arrival of the hurricane.  Rick had left for Malaysia for work and Sarah was left by herself to encounter the disastrous storm herself.

Sarah had never thought to leave the house as it was just pouring rain, until the river went over the banks and water rose fast and faster. At that time, she start panicking and knew she has to leave. The water was rising so fast. She managed to get help from a kind volunteer who got her out of house in a waist deep water.

She was later dropped off at a dry area after a 15 min boat ride.  She was having difficulty getting a ride to a friend’s house because of road closures.  She forgot her rain pancho and was standing in soaking wet.  God was watching after her, as a very kind couple whom she have never met before offer her a hot meal and took her to a Christian home.

Sarah finally went back to her home yesterday, but it’s no longer her ‘lovely and warm’ home.  It will take a lot of time and financial resources to have her home again.

Let’s get behind the Leazer’s family and help them  restore their home .
