The Richardson School of Music has served thousands of music students in the Takoma Park community over the past ten years. It has been such a pleasure for our school to be a part of this special community. This is why we were devastated when we heard that one of our building leases would not be renewed. The thought of having to leave the Takoma Park community was heartbreaking. Shortly after that news, we were informed that the building next door would be up for sale. We immediately knew this was our opportunity to stay, and now we are asking the community to help RSM become a permanent resident of Takoma Park. We have long wanted to own our own space, and our neighbor is retiring. We have agreed to purchase the building. It has two floors and a full basement. After some renovations, it will be a perfect new home for our school. We have secured a loan and need your help to complete the down payment.

Hi, My name is Vincent Richardson, and I founded the Richardson School of Music in 2013. Thankfully, our business has survived the COVID-19 pandemic. We adapted to include virtual lessons, workshops, and recitals. The Richardson School of Music is dedicated to educating and instructing children, teens and adults in the performance and appreciation of music. RSM ensures student progression with their preferred instrument by providing qualified teachers who equip students with proper technical and musical instruction and expose students to master teachers and performers in their art. RSM is dedicated to inspiring and bringing joy into people's lives through the education of music.

Music is a major part of my life, along with being a husband and father of three. It has shaped my identity, and I love sharing that spark with students. As a long-standing voting member of the DC Grammy chapter, producer, songwriter and entrepreneur, I know how music can transform, compel, and make life more beautiful.
