My name is Brianna, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my uncle Richard, someone who means the world to me. In August of last year, Richard was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Since then, he’s faced an incredibly difficult journey with courage and grace. He’s undergone radiation, chemotherapy, and a major operation that has left him unable to work at times. While the tumor is shrinking, it’s still not small enough for surgery, and he’ll soon begin another round of chemotherapy.

Richard is a devoted husband and a loving father to two children. He is truly one of the kindest, most generous people I know, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He’s always worked hard to support his family, and even in the face of illness, he remains strong for them.

But cancer doesn’t just take a toll on the body, it affects every part of life. The emotional weight is overwhelming, and the financial burden only adds to the stress. Between mounting medical bills and everyday living expenses, the pressure is immense, especially living in New York where everything is already so expensive.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of that financial strain so Richard and his family can focus on what truly matters: his healing and their time together. If you’re able to contribute, or even just share this with others, it would mean the world. My uncle is someone I deeply admire, and I want to do everything I can to support him through this fight.
