Hello, my name is Richard Gerald. I’m a 39 year old father of two kids, my 8 years old son and my 16 years old daughter . On June 4, 2017, I was involved in a car accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down. Now a quadriplegic C4-C6 incomplete, I was injured at the age of 31.

For the past few years, I’ve been relentlessly pursuing a RT-300 (StimBike), a stimulation bike designed to help my lower extremities and core muscles. After a long and arduous battle, I finally won the appeal and received the exciting news that the StimBike would be shipped to me a couple of weeks ago.

However, today, I received a disappointing phone call informing me that there had been a change in their policy. Unfortunately, my insurance company no longer covers the StimBike.

I had been using robotic equipment at Bacharach, and it had made a profound impact on my quality of life. My therapist was astounded by the significant progress I had made with it. The primary reason I was eager to get the StimBike was to alleviate the constant spasms and frequent urinary tract infections that had significantly impacted my comfort. Additionally, I had high hopes that it would stimulate the awakening of some muscles and nerves to stand and/or walk again.

In my opinion, the StimBike would not only transform my life but also enhance my overall mobility and well-being.
