Richard Supple Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Our dad Richie was recently diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer of the prostate, a very rare and very aggressive form of cancer.

He is going to begin chemotherapy and radiation treatment in the near future, and as we scramble to navigate insurance shortfalls and possible clinical trials, We're hoping that his community can help to alleviate some of the financial burden associated with his healing process.

ABOUT RICHIE

Besides being a dedicated father of four, Richie is a two-time grandfather, a brother, a husband, everyones favorite uncle, and a friend. He's a know-it-all sports fan and horse-racing enthusiast. whose favorite day of the year is Derby Day! Richie is one of those rare people who are fun to be around no matter your age or beliefs. You're as likely to find him playing ball with the kids as you are arguing about sports with the adults - and he'd be doing  each with just as much passion!

What brings him the most joy is spending time with his 4 year-old grandson, Exaviah.

With the support of so many loving family members and friends we know that Dad will fight as hard as he can to have the same relationship with his newborn granddaughter Charlotte and his soon to come granddaughter.

Normally, Richie is a very active, hardworking man, but his profession of handyman and house painter puts the prospect of work during his recovery and initial treatments completely out of the question.

As the middle child of 5 siblings, and a cherished member of our family no one is ready to let him go just yet, as his vibrant and outgoing personality would be sorely missed as we begin raising the next generation of Supples to be unleashed upon the world.

NEUROENDOCRINE PROSTATE CANCER

This diagnosis took us all completely by surprise, and is extremely rare when not the result of prior treatment for cancer. It is almost always diagnosed very late, and Richie's case is no different. While normal prostate cancer has decent survival rates, this strain advances more rapidly and is only beginning to be studied in depth by professionals. As such, many of the treatments likely to be most effective are in clinical trials and are not covered by his current insurance.

We know that not everyone is in a position to give, so in advance, we thank everyone for their love, support, and positive thoughts!
