Richard Lancette Memorial Addiction Awareness Fund

In loving memory of beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend, Richard.  The Richard Lancette Memorial Addiction Awareness Fund is created as a tribute  to raise awareness for the battle of opioid addiction that cost our dear son his life.  According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, over the past two years alone, the total drug-related deaths in the country has increased by over 100%. The use of illicit drugs has also risen, and millions of people across the nation have used some kind of drug in their lifetime.

Our beautiful angel fiercely fought to control his addiction for eight anguishing years.  In and out of countless rehabs, inpatient, outpatient, ongoing.  He managed to get clean and sober for 5 years but succumbed to his addiction at the young age of 23.

Richard was a compassionate soul who  was able to connect with people.  He was non-judgmental, patient, kind and truly made a difference in the lives of those he touched.  His passing has left a hole in the hearts of his loving family and friends.  He aspired to become an addiction counselor to assist others with the demons he, himself struggled to control.

We have created this fundraiser to help cover the costs of his funeral, final expenses and raise awareness for this senseless loss of life.
