As many of you remember, after officiating a high school football game, Rick was involved in a very serious car accident over 10 years ago. As a result, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury, leaving him partly paralyzed.
Prior to this, he was a hard working coach for many years, spending much of his own money on his teams. He also spent countless hours working on fields to get them ready. He still is able to coach in the St. Louis Metro League but his income options are few and the minimal social security disability income he receives is not enough to live on.
Thru the past 10 years, he had a trust fund that helped pay many of his expenses like rent, car expenses, medicine and insurances. The extra help needed amounts to more than $10,000 per year.
He has worked hard to come back from the horrific injury but here is where we need help from former players, teammates and friends. The trust fund will run out of money during 2018. At that point, without help, Rick will not be able to pay rent and have no place to stay. Any amount that you would be able to contribute would go directly into the trust fund and would be greatly appreciated!! We would like to raise money to get him thru the next 3 years and we need you to take action now so the next few years can be planned.
