Richard Felder Clinical Trial Fund
Donation protected
This year has been very hard on the Felder family. Richard was diagnosed with a form of lung cancer called Mesothelioma in April 2019. Since then it’s been a roller coaster of a process to determine best treatment options. He had chemo therapy over the summer which was incredibly difficult for him because of the side effects. In the past two months he went to MD Anderson Cancer Institute in Houston, TX to meet with a team that specializes in treating this aggressive disease. It was decided between Richard, the family, and the Thoracic surgeon that having a surgery to remove the cancer was not a good option. At this point and time the MD Anderson team has offered to enroll him in a clinical trial that is the only trial taking place for this disease in the U.S. He will complete his first round of treatment by mid October but then he must return to Texas every three weeks for up to 2 years to continue with the trial. We ask for any donation you can contribute to make this time a little easier for Carol and Richard so they can focus on his treatment and him feeling better.
