Our Beloved Father

In the early hours of December 17,2020 our father, Ricardo Hernandez, woke us up, having difficulty breathing. He had been ill for over a week. He had refused to go to the doctor and we ended up calling 911. When the ambulance finally arrived, our father could barely get up or move. They had to put him in an ambulance chair since the gurney wouldn’t make it up and down the stairs. As they attempted to lay our father on the gurney, he collapsed. The expression on his face, his eyes, we all knew that our beloved father would probably not come back home. They put our father in the ambulance, we just had to wait for a phone call from the hospital since we weren’t allowed to go with him due to covid. The hospital called us and informed us that our father had tested positive for covid and that they had him on oxygen and a ventilator.
After that phone call informing us that our father was positive for covid, we all went and got tested. We are seven in total in our household, including our father. Three of us tested positive for covid. Our mother being one of them. Marta, our mother, had to be hospitalized for a few days. Since she has high blood pressure, they wanted to keep her for observation and to make sure there were no issues with her heart. Our mother came home to us a few days later.
Unfortunately, our father, Ricardo, is still in the ICU. Ever since our father arrived to the hospital, our fathers condition has worsened. He is non-responsive to treatment. The doctors have told us to prepare ourselves for the unimaginable. Our worst nightmare, losing our father.
So, friends and family, we the Hernandez Family, are reaching out in need of your help. Anything will help us in preparing for the unimaginable... our dad’s funeral expenses.
