I am SO EXCITED to announce that I am starting my private doula practice.
What is a Doula?
a Doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support during significant life events. Most commonly a Doula provides services during labor, birth, postpartum, & grievances. A Doula can be utilized to support any number of events throughout life that the individual deems as significant or meaningful.
“Doula” is the ancient Greek term for a woman who serves.
My name is Sarah Werkin, I am a Colorado-based Labor & Postpartum Doula, registered yoga teacher, & meditation and breath guide.
My passion for service & care began as a nanny. I have worked with infants and children from the time I was 14 and have continued to work as a caregiver and nanny for the last 13 years.
Over the years, my passion for care & service has lead me down different paths where I found yoga, meditation & breath work. I became a registered yoga teacher in 2013. Yoga impacted my life for the greater good, which ushered in a desire to share the mind-body connection with others, and has been a key component in my path towards becoming a Doula.
I am passionate about sharing the labor & postpartum experience, and sharing my knowledge of the mind-body connection to empower families to cope well, and heal powerfully during these sacred life experiences.
I find pregnancy, labor, and birth miraculous. Labor & Birth are sacred moments in life - it is a gift to be a part of, and I treat these experiences with the highest form of respect.
My work is as a Doula is heart-centered, service oriented, and filled with passion. Until the birth of my niece, I never knew the true power of labor, and the depth of the need for support during postpartum. The experience of the birth of my niece changed my vision & opened my heart to a new path. Immediately following this birth experience, I signed up for the soonest possible Labor & Postpartum training & certification through both DONA & CAPPA.
I believe this is the work I was put on this earth to do. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve mothers, parents, & birth partners in their significant life experiences.
My goal is to provide relief for you during labor, postpartum, nursing & beyond. I aim to bring emotional aid, comfort, and a true sense of empathy to your moment. I am here to advocate for your needs, educate & empower you to make your own decisions, and offer support throughout each step of the process.

my website and online presence.
-marketing: being able to pay to advertises
- LLC & IRS registration; fees for setting up a small business federally & in the state of CO, to make my business a legal entity!
