Help for Pepper - Lymphoma Diagnosis

Donation protected
I'm Aly, and I'm making this fundraiser for my parents' furbaby. They have a dog named "Pepper." She is only 5 years old, a cute little pug with a silly-looking tongue, and the light of their life.

She's always upbeat and happy and brings so much life to their home. She is best friends with my pug, Nugget, and is a big part of our family. We love our pets like children, and seeing her sick has been incredibly hard.

Symtoms started 2 weeks ago when she had what they thought was just a stomach bug. She had diarrhea and vomiting for 3 days, so she was taken to an emergency vet. They gave her medication to help with the diarrhea and vomiting. She seemed to be doing a little better for a while, then suddenly took a turn for the worse.

She was walking upstairs and fell back, became lethargic, and couldn't keep food or liquids down. So she was taken to the emergency vet again. They did X-rays and lots of bloodwork and diagnosed her with lymphoma.
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system in dogs.

They have already accumulated cost from emergency visits, fluids to keep her stable, multiple overnight stays at a local vet, and all the tests and bloodwork for diagnosis.

My parents are retired and on a fixed income and can't afford the sudden huge expenses. They have already spent $5k, and have upcoming expenses for treatment. So this has already put a huge strain on them financially while also overwhelming them with the stress of potentially losing their furbaby.

2 days after Christmas, we just had to say goodbye to a family dog of 15 years, Angel (Lab) and that was devastating. Even with the old age and seeing it coming for years, it was still very rough. Pepper seemed perfectly healthy 2 weeks ago. It's all just so sudden and unexpected. We aren't ready to say goodbye; it doesn't even feel like an option.

I will be helping with cost as much as I can, but this fundraiser is just to alleviate the stress of the whole situation.

The only other option we were given by the vet was euthanasia if we can't afford the treatments. While she still has a fighting chance to live, we don't want to give up on her.

We appreciate anything you can offer even if it's just a share of this. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
