D.r is Fighting the Fight!

The Doctor has told D.r that he can not return to work! He also has no health insurance, and this is causing him a TON of unneeded stress. Stress he doesn't need right now. Stress that is taking away from him focusing on himself, and getting well! Adding to the stress, with him being in Corvallis, Donna is missing a lot of work, to be by her husbands side. It is about 3 hours in daily driving (round trip). We all know how costly fuel is these days. While she does have some sick/vaca time, it will be used up long before D.r is through with his treatments , as she has already missed several weeks since he was first hospitalized.

If ANY of you can help with a few bucks to Alleviate some of the stress these two are enduring, it would be most gracious! If you can not contribute at this time, we understand. If everyone could at least share this go fund me page with your family and friends, and help spread the word, it will help us in helping our friends/family (D.r & Donna) during this time of need.

They REALLY NEED US guys! Every dollar helps. No contribution is to small!

Thank you all in advance.

D.R. wants everyone to know he is going to fight a good fight, and that he is staying positive!

As most of you know, D.r. was admitted into ICU 2 days before Thanksgiving with his left lung full of pneumonia. During some tests, it was discovered that his lung was also collapsed, and that there was a large mass in his lung as well. More testing and a biopsy confirmed, our worst fear, the mass (tumor) was"cancer".

It became increasingly difficult for D.r to breath, to keep his oxygeon levels in a normal range, and he could not cough up anything, because the lung was basically "shut down".

The Doctors decided, to go in and to burn the tumor in an attempt to open up the blockage to his airway and inflate his lung, so that D.r could breath, get his oxygen levels under control and to assist in fighting the pneumonia. In doing so, they discovered, that they were only able to partially unblock his airway. He was placed on Oxygen, given antibiotics and closely monitored until he was well enough to be released, pending further testing and appointments.

More than a week later, the Doctors felt he well enough to go home. No oxygen, breathing on his own and a prescription for antibiotics.

Monday Dec. 4th, He finished his dose of antibiotics but was complaining that his back, side, and kidneys hurt! He was cold, and when he tried getting up to moving around, he became short of breath and had to sit back down.

He was scheduled to have a PET scan the following day (Dec 5th) so the results were back before his oncologist appointment on Dec 8th, however, prior to checking in for his appointment, it became difficult for him to breath, so, he was taken directly to the ER instead.

After receiving oxygen and steroids, and back to breathing on his own again, the oncologist felt that he should be transported back to the Hospital in Corvallis at once, so they could immediately get him started with a treatment plan, including starting chemotherapy.

Their goal in doing so, is to shrink the tumor with the chemo, to get his airway opened up, and to assist with recovering from the pneumonia that is sitting there, with no where to go.

So, this is where we are at this point.

More than anything, what D.r needs is everyone's love, support and well wishes during this difficult time. He is going to have a long road ahead of him, and unfortunately as some of you may know, Chemo is no joke! Its no walk in the park, this shit kicks most peoples ass, and makes them sicker than they originally felt. It is not only hard on the person receiving the therapy, but also the loved ones living with, caring for, and being by the side of the one receiving the therapy.

Your contribution in any amount will most defiantly be appreciated during this time of need.
