Hope for Harley

My name is Lois Williams and my granddaughter, Harley, is my world. Since eleven years old she's been battling chronic immune and vascular problems. She was diagnosed with Erythromelalgia when she was eleven. It started with a bit of burning pain and has devolved into a hard, life-long struggle. Over the years she's developed Raynaud's and autonomic neuropathy. I've given everything I have to help keep her comfortable and safe. At twenty-three the acid from her daily nausea spells has stripped away the protective coating on her teeth. She's missing most of her back teeth and the ones that are left are cracked and infected. She broke her molar a month ago but because of the infection, she hasn't been able to afford care. She's been on antibiotics back to back to try to combat the infections. Her body is getting weaker and I know we're running out of time. I worry about what this will do her heart or her brain. 

I've watched my strong girl grow weaker and weaker. She hasn't been able to eat comfortably for years and it's getting worse as time goes on. She's a stoic girl but I'm terrified. I'm seeking $15,000 so we can get her teeth permanently fixed. We'll be able to remove her infected and broken teeth with permanent implants. Implants seem to be our only option because the bile will continue to break down the repairs. We've consulted numerous dentists and orthodontists and most agree that the bile is the root of the problem.  She's been in a cycle of getting them fixed and having them painfully rot over the course of a couple years. We can't afford the cost of this cycle and I worry about the toll it takes on her health.  I hope that once she has her teeth out she'll start to feel stronger and healthier. She'll be able to eat and smile without pain.  As soon as we can afford it we'll be able to get Harley healthy again.
