Rhonda's Medical Fund

When I found out mom was sick,  I figured she was just getting old.  I thought she hurt herself surfing too much or working too hard.  After a month of physical therapy, I thought she would be fine. My mom is 57 and still charges Sunset when the conditions are right.  I was just surfing with her in December on the North Shore. She is unbelievably strong and the best person I’ve ever known.

By March 10th she was barely able to walk and unable to keep even water down.  After being admitted to Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu and getting more tests, the doctor came in and told her,  “You have stage 4 cancer- you’ve probably had it for at least 4-5 years.  It has metastasized and it is incurable.”

She told the doctor, “Well- I’ve already decided to seek alternative treatment in Mexico.  When can I get out of here?”  And that’s how it began.  My mom is now in Ensenada under the care of Dr. Hino.  

Dr. Hino is a molecular biologist who leads a team of doctors in Ensenada who treat many ailments and is having miraculous results on a daily basis.  This is a place where miracles do happen.  People come here when there aren’t any other options in the U.S.  


UPDATE:  Unfortunately, Dr. Hino's treatment didn't give the results we had hoped for.  As of mid-October, Rhonda returned to San Diego to seek different options.

Please help.  I’m asking you with all my heart to donate now whatever you can.  We have all been affected by this.

Fear is not an option for my mom.  She is still charging and is getting better by the grace of God.
