Saving Sadie

Donation protected
Sadie is a German short haired pointer that we adopted from the Senior Dog Project 3.5 years ago. Her previous owner died of cancer. Sadie is a very energetic dog and loves going for a jog. She started coughing a few months ago and she has been to the vet for it twice before she got very sick last Tuesday. She started coughing a lot, taking very short and labored breaths and she was tired and not eating. We took her to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Wednesday morning. They took X-rays and a biopsy and said she likely had a bronchitis but if we wanted more answers than we needed to see a specialists for an ultrasound. We we’re sent home with antibiotics. Wednesday night she got worse and we took her back. Her oxygen levels were dangerously low so they sent us to Veterinary Speciality Services to check her out and do some more speciality tests. They did blood work and found that her blood sugar was 650!!! Her blood work from 3 months prior had her blood sugar at 140.

She is still in the hospital suffering from a bunch of symptoms that don’t seem to make sense.  She has gone through multiple expensive diagnostic tests and none of them seem to have an answer as to what is wrong.  She is currently being treated for severe pneumonia and now life-long Diabetes however, she is showing signs of improvement. Her breathing has gotten better and she is starting to eat!!! She is currently on oxygen, insulin and antibiotics. Sadie needs your help so that she can continue with treatment so she can get better. Right now we are up to $3,000! Any little bit will help!!!! Thank you!!!
