Errick's cancer

Kristina and Errick are hard-working and loving parents. She worked 60-70 hours a week and he worked 3 jobs to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Their son, Jakob, is 7 and has recently been told the devastating news that his dad has cancer. Kristina, herself, was also recently diagnosed with extreme hypertension and was put on disability. Next month, that money runs out and her blood pressure is still not stable. Last month, Errick went to the hospital after his eye started to bulge. No one expected the diagnosis...Sinonasal Rhabdomyosarcoma. After testing, the cancer had already metastasized to his spine, pelvis, hips, and femur - stage 4, terminal. Needless to say, he has just began a course of intensive chemo treatments. When the treatments are complete, he will need to undergo radiation. The whole family is hopeful that the cancer will go into remission, but
Errick will also need surgery to remove the disfiguring primary tumor.
This family has a long road ahead of them with no source of income. Errick's treatments are extreme, leaving him unable to even care for himself. Kristina is now his full-time caregiver and is trying to make life as normal as possible for her husband and son. Jakob knows his daddy has cancer and prays that his cancer is not the same as the cancer that recently took his great-grandfather.
Only a little over 300 people in the US per year are diagnosed with this cancer. It is mostly found in children but extremely rare in adults. His doctors are in contact with other oncology specialists who have treated this type of cancer. In adults, it is a fluke - something that somehow went genetically wrong.
Our goal is to raise at least $7500 so they can pay their bills and uncovered medical expenses for a few months. Any amount is a blessing and greatly appreciated.
