Fundraising for Lily-anne Weir
Lilyanne lives in Fraserburgh in the north east of Scotland She has a very rare disorder and needs all the help she can get.
Superior Mesenteric Artery SyndromeIs one of the rarest life-threatening Gastrointestinal disorders known to Medical science. It is caused by compression Of the abdominal aorta and the beginning of the bowels.
Leaving sufferers unable to digest food or liquids and Also causing severe pain.
After being unwell for 18 months Lilyanne was diagnosed in December 2011 with SMA Syndrome.
She can not eat due to the pain it causes and for the last 6 months has been feeding through a tube.
Since the diagnosis we have extensively researched for Information and help for Lilyanne but have now been told the only
Treatment to cure her is to take her to Germany for a one off operation called Infrarenal Transposition of the SuperiorMesenteric Artery this is not available in the uk.
We will now be fundraising to help with the cost of her operation
