Roscoe's Surgery

Last Monday, I came home to find Roscoe unable  to walk or physically support himself on his back legs. We rushed to the vet, and they referred us to South Texas Veterinary Services for possible back surgery on a herniated disc. Without this operation, there was only a 50% chance Roscoe would ever walk again and he would need extensive therapy (and possibly still need surgery after therapy). I made the decision to go forward with the surgery.

In the emergency operation on Tuesday, the surgeon found not one, but three herniated discs and hemmorhaging. This surgery was absolutely necessary but extraordinarily expensive. I was able to open a Care Credit account to pay for this procedure and have 6 months to pay it off interest free. Even on this payment plan, this surgery will stretch my budget beyond my means.

I debated reaching out for help, but I trust in the strength of community. I feel that this situation is a perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, ask for help, and lean into my support system, which is YOU! Roscoe has a long recovery process ahead of him, and relieving this huge financial burden will allow me to focus fully on his healing.
