volunteer Mission Trip to Africa

on 30th January I will be giving up my job to start an amazing journey to Swaziland, south Africa.
This is something that has been on my heart to do for a while and over the past 6 months i began to really look into it.
I then made a decision to go for it, partly because The need is great, the opportunities tremendous, and through Elim International Missions, I have been given the opportunity to go on a 3-month mission trip, the placement will be until April 2018.
The placement I will be serving at will be Elusitweni Women’s Centre; The women’s centre was established to house abused and vulnerable women/ girls and their children.
I will live and develop strong relationships with the families throughout my placement,
my aim there is to provides physical and emotional care to abused women and girls (aged from as young as 13 years old). Additionally, Elusitweni also aims to empower and educate the community to support the victims of abuse and encourage community members to see domestic violence and abuse as the responsibility of all, and therefore to take effective action against abuse, this will also be something that I will be involved in.
I am extremely excited about this opportunity and I would love you to also be involved in the journey I am about to take. I will most certainly keep everyone updated throughout the placement and as I progress in my teachings and learn more about the specifics of my journey.
Here is where I am asking for your help; I have used my own finances and savings to fund the whole placement.
I am stepping out of my comfort zone to ask people for help. Any donations you can make would be gratefully received, what ever the amount. The money raised is to help me during my stay there which has been estimated around £50 per week, this includes food, medical support, day trips to other centres and transport to enable me to get around the various centres and orphanages.
Alternatively just keeping me in your thoughts and prayers would also be greatly appreciated.
