RFB's 'Wall of Lies' Emergency Restoration Fund

On October 3, 2020, Radio Free Brooklyn erected the “Wall of Lies,” a 50-foot by 10-foot outdoor mural with the 20,000+ lies told by Donald Trump (so far) while in office, documented and fact-checked by The Washington Post.   The work received international attention in the press, and on Sunday, October 4th, was visited by Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer.

After several days of great memories, moments and global engagement over the Wall of Lies project, on the morning of October 8th, we discovered that the work had been vandalized during the night with pro-Trump slogans, including "Vote Trump or Die" and "Stand Back and Stand By." Though this is disappointing, retaliation to standing up for truth is nothing new. The wall may have been vandalized, the impressions it left can never be erased with spray paint

But spray paint won't silence us.  Our emergency fund will help us recreate the wall, and find (or rent) a more secure location for the wall, and hire security if needed.

Thank you for helping us out, and for keeping the project alive.
