Reyna's Last Chance to Study Abroad

My name is Reyna Joint and I attend Suffolk University and major in International Affairs. Throughout college, I have not had my financial aid completely covered and have often had part time jobs in order to cover college costs. You probably know that many students from similar backgrounds as I have are less likely to study abroad. As an international affairs major with a desire to go into Global Health in order to help others, my lack of abroad experience might limit my career aspirations.
I was very happy that I was selected for the Keith Sherin Global Leaders Program of Spanish Language and Culture in Salamanca, Spain. The program is for students who participated in a TRIO program, like I did at Boston University Upward Bound while I was at Brighton High School. Priority for the abroad program is given to students who have not previously studied or travelled overseas like me. Although the Council for Opportunity helps supplement the program, I still need to come up with $2500 by May 1, which covers the registration costs for the trip. For many that may be a small amount, but for me its a lot of money. Any amount you can give is a big help! This will give me a chance to explore Salamanca, one of Spain's most spectacular cities and do an intensive, month-long study of Spanish language and culture. I will study with international students at the University of Salamanca and have the option to live with a Spanish family or with other international students in a residence hall.
Your support will allow me to realize a dream of studying abroad, while also helping me prepare for my future studies and career! I have worked so hard doing many different jobs while in college and I am asking for your help to for this rare opportunity. I appreciate a donation in any amount you can provide. Thank you!
