Reyna fue diagnosticada con cáncer en la cuarta etapa (o cancer terminal). Aunque la diagnosis fue severa, Reyna no se resignó sin antes luchar contra la enfermedad. Con el apoyo inquebrantable de su hija, yerno, y su familia ella paso por incontables tratamientos de quimioterapia y radiación con la esperanza de derrotar el cáncer. Cuando el cáncer fue descubierto los doctores dijeron que solo le quedaban de seis a nueve meses para vivir sin embargo ella demostró que era una guerrera y sobrepaso probabilidades insuperables. A pesar de todos los obstáculos, Reyna demostró su valor y fuerza después de enterarse de su enfermedad.
La batalla de nuestra querida Reyna llego a su fin el 26 de noviembre del 2017. En sus últimos días ella uso su tiempo para acercarse más a su familia y sirvió como un recordatorio viviente de que no hay nada más grande que el amor de una madre.
Reyna deja a su hija Iracema y su yerno Jonathan. Iracema su única hija desea que puedan brindar apoyo hacia los costos para el funeral ya que los últimos deseos de Reyna fueron de ser enterrada en México, su tierra natal. Para los que conocieron a Reyna la podrán recordar como una madre asombrosa que toco las vidas de muchos. Ella será profundamente extrañada y por siempre vivirá en nuestros recuerdos. Por favor consideren ayudar a esta familia en estos tiempos de necesidad. Toda donación y ayuda es muestra de su gran apoyo.
It is with a heavy heart that I ask for your help. Last year, our dear Reyna was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Although the diagnosis was grim, Reyna refused to give up without a fight. With the unwavering support of her daughter, son-in-law and extended family members, Reyna went to countless treatments of chemotherapy and radiation in hopes of defeating the cancer. She was a fighter who overcame insurmountable odds. In fact, doctors said that she only had six to nine months left to live, but she proved them wrong! She showed tremendous courage and strength in the face of this life changing disease. On November 26th, Reyna Jolalpa’s battle came to an end. Reyna used her remaining time to grow closer to her family and served as a living reminder that there is nothing greater than a mother’s love.
Reyna leaves behind her daughter, Iracema and son-in-law Jonathan. Being that Iracema is an only child, any support from family and friends would be deeply appreciated. All donations will go towards funeral costs, as Reyna’s final wish was to be buried in her beautiful homeland, Mexico.
Anyone who knew Reyna, knows that she was an amazing mother who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Please consider helping this family in their time of need. Any and all donations help and can be your way of showing support.
