Help send a tech theatre student on a Discovery Cruise.

A Discovery Cruise is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for tech theatre students (high school and university, as well as young professionals looking for a sea change) to discover what it's like to have a career in a state-of-the-art theatre aboard a cruise ship. They will experience life on board a ship, check out the venues and the variety of entertainment, observe the technical aspects of the shows and events, and have the possibility to interview the onboard theatre technicians about life and work aboard a cruise ship. Discovery Cruises, which are typically 3 to 4 nights long, are exclusively on Norwegian Cruise Lines ships, with state-of-the-art theatres and a variety of other venues. ALL funds raised go towards the students’ Discovery Cruises. (CruiseTechies earns a commission from the cruise line for booking the cruises, and does not deduct compensation from any of the funds raised.)

This fundraiser is open through December of this year. In February of next year, grants will be awarded to qualified tech theatre students (and one chaperone if Discovery Cruiser is under 21) who have applied for Discovery Cruises. (Qualified applications are accepted on a first-come-first-sail basis.) Discovery Cruises will be scheduled for that summer. The student’s (and chaperone’s) flights, hotel, travel insurance, and gratuities are included in the Discovery Cruise grant the student receives.
