Reviving the 14th Annual MixMatch Dance Festival

Just before opening submissions for works in March of 2020 for our 14th Annual MixMatch Dance Festival, Los Angeles was shut down for COVID. What some of us had hoped would be a short lock-down quickly turned into something we realized was not going to end soon. The dance performance community took a massive hit and we even lost the Miles Playhouse, our steady performance space, indefinitely. Not only did MixMatch take a backseat to community healing, but we didn't know where and when we would be picking up again.

But here we are! We've found a new home for our 14th production and are ready to gather once again to support, perform, experience and DANCE! It's such a wonderful feeling to know we'll be getting this important festival up and running for not only Los Angeles but the entire US. The 14th MixMatch Dance Festival will be held at the infamous Highways Performance Space on August 25th-27th this year and will once again be open to ALL styles of dance from choreographers and companies nationwide.

We have expenses that need to be tackled and are reaching out to our fellow dance lovers and supporters for this little boost. We've come up with some great incentives to thank everyone who's able to help make MixMatch's comeback its absolute BEST.
