Revitalize Tennis Courts at Lakebottom Park

What is the FRIENDS OF LAKEBOTTOM & TENNIS FUND?

FOLF is a private-public partnership between 21Ace Tennis Events, LLC and Columbus Georgia Parks & Recreation & City of Columbus to raise funds to revitalize and resurface the tennis courts and tennis court area at Lakebottom Park through 21Ace Tennis programs, initiatives, events, tournaments and other revenue generating community events.

We are raising funds to improve the tennis area at Lakebottom Park in Columbus Georgia.

The purpose of the fund is to improve a deserving part of the park through community engagement, collaboration and partnership in the sport of tennis and other community events and activities.

The Fund was approved and certified by the Columbus City Council in late 2020. Friends of Lakebottom Fund will host events and tournaments at Cooper Creek, Lakebottom and other city properties as well as private venues.

Finally, after so much waiting since Covid-19, in 2022/23 season, we can have our grand launch of the Friends of Lakebottom & Tennis Fund.

PLANS FOR THE PARK (PHASE 1)

RESURFACE the 4 tennis courts , repaint , touch ups
Extend fence to increase court playing space
Revitalize fencing / infrastructure around tennis courts
Improve landscaping around tennis courts
Improve trash cans around tennis courts
Replace and revitalize tennis courts wind screens
Improve tennis courts spectator seating and areas
Improve tennis court player seating
Install recycling deposit containers for plastic, used balls, tennis ball cans
& more!
