Revelation Gardens cat and dog rescue

My name is Joyce Allen. I'm raising money to benefit Revelation Gardens dog and cat rescue, and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause which means so much to me.

Revelation Gardens became a 501c3 public benefit charity in 2018. They were founded to provide sanctuary to dogs and cats whose owners passed away. Their founding scripture is Revelation 21:4, which says, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain for the old order of things has passed away." Dawn Harris, founder and president, wanted to provide a safe place for grieving and displaced pets to experience a home-like environment for the duration of their lives.

Currently, Revelation Gardens houses and cares for 76 cats and three dogs with two in foster. Over the past four years, they not only rescued hundreds of orphaned cats and dogs but also abandoned, homeless, neglected, and abused pets. Even though adoptions weren't part of their original purpose, they became necessary due to space limitations. Unfortunately since most of their rescues are special needs cats, they are overlooked for adoption, resulting in insufficient space to house them.

We are creating this fundraiser to create additional cat housing. To reach this goal, we will improve four outbuildings and if enough funds are raised, buy 1-3 new shed structures. This will require purchasing pressure treated lumber, insulation, interior panels, paint, vinyl flooring tiles, fencing wire for catios and furnishings such as cat trees and seating for visitors.

Dawn Harris states, "What moves me most is when an animal that was previously anxious, acting-out, and shut down finally settles in and realizes its safe and begins to play, lounge, and purr. We strive to make this a reality for all those in our care. But it is challenging to accomplish this given our current space limitations. Additional housing will help make this possible.”

Revelation Gardens is full beyond its capacity, as is nearly every shelter and rescue in the nation. Revelation Gardens helps pets stay in the home whenever possible through community outreach programs. Still, for those that cannot remain in the home and for those who are not adopted, Revelation Gardens wants to provide a safe place for them which is where you come in! And, 100% of every donation received will go toward this purpose!
