Reuben's Kidney Surgery

Dearest Granite City High School Class of 1984.
Our fellow classmate, Reuben Garcia, posted yesterday he will be having a very serious surgery to remove cancerous masses from his left kidney. There is a possibility they may need to remove the kidney to prevent further spreading of the tumors to other vital organs. It should be mentioned, there are also masses on the right kidney, as well. I have known Reuben personally for many years, and I immediately felt in my heart, that more is needed than just prayers. Reuben has experienced some difficult times over the past two years, yet has always remained positive, upbeat, feeling happy and blessed. He does not have any immediate family or close friends to assist him during this difficult time. I do know his sister is trying to make it out to help him as soon as possible.
I am so proud to be part of the Class of 84. We have always remained supportive of one another in our accomplishments and in times of deepest need. During my difficult times, so many of you were there for Gabe and I. Now it is my turn to pay it forward.
I would like to help Reuben by setting up a Go-Fund-Me-Account to assist him in the costly medical bills and other day to day expenses he will incur until he is back on his feet again. Reuben is the wonderful father of two beautiful children, Jude and Lola, and he is worried about providing and caring for his children during this difficult and trying time.
