Reuben Bear

Reuben doesn't need an introduction.  He is a real life super hero. Reuben has severe brain damage, due to a virus, CMV  resulting in the right side of his brain being severly damaged.  Over the last 5 years he has endured more than any child should ever have to go through. He is profoundly deaf,  severly sight impaired.  He has Quadriplegic cerebral palsy , fed via a tube into his tummy.  Reuben has Lennox Gaust syndrome,  which is the most severe form of childhood epilepsy.  He will never be seizure free, and will daily have upto 30 seizures  . The past 7 months Reuben has had back to back chest infections, and because of this has been in respiratory failure multiple times.  As I write this , Reuben is extremely poorly . His little brain is detoriating and starting to shut down. I have never asked anyone for any help or Support over the last 5 years and doing this is extremely embarrassing for me. That said , I am swallowing my Pride , simply to be able to make as many positive memories,  provide  vital equipment to be able to safely manage him at home,  and to know that as his Mommy I have done everything in my power to give him the best quality of life.
