Returning to Romania

Donation protected
I have always had a passion to help others and to do charity work helping children, families and animals in need, having spent a great deal of time speaking with a romanian friend of mine, I decided I would visit the orphanages in Romania and see for myself the extent of the poverty that existed.
In April 2015 I jumped on a plane and was taken to the villages outside of Bucharest, it was a far cry from what we would class as civilisation.
In addition to the countless orphanages I visited I met a couple of families, all struggling to survive wihout basic necessities, they have no running water, no clothes, no food, no shoes, and the walls of thier houses are made out of horse manure.
I took modest food packages to them and some supplies for the children all of which reduced the grown men and women to tears.
I vowed to them i would return with whatever I could to help them through the winter and help the children continue with their studies.

Since April I have been in touch with a fantastic chairty 'Paws2rescue' Alison from London has been incredibly supportive and informative, what this charity achieves is nothing short of miraculous.
They are all volunteers and spend all the money they raise on supplies and medicine for the hundreds of dogs that are trapped, dying and suffering in the public shelters of  Bucharest.
Alison asked if I would take over supplies on my journey, I will also volunteer for a few days whilst I am out there in the public shelters helping these Angels of rescuers do their job.
How you can help.......?
We are planning to drive out of here in the 1st week of December with a 7.5ton (20ft truck)
We need:
Money for Diesel and tolls!!! Sorry to sound so blunt but this will be the most expensive part of it- even a few pounds will keep the truck on the road on the 3800mile journey!

Waterproof footwear and coats- the snow will be arriving shortly in Romania and some of the rescuers who are older ladies have been found walking the streets finding the dogs in flip flops!!!!
Beds for the dogs- preferably plastic ones that cant get destroyed and keep them off the urine soaked concrete floors
Good Quality Dog food- tinned meat etc
Wormers, and dog shampoo

SHOES! All sizes- mens and womens!
Dry food supplies, Rice, Beans, pasta, any left over money you donate will be put towards buying drinking water for a family of 5 who have small children and no access to clean water.
Sanitary items for girls
Blankets
toothbrushes
nappy wipes
Nappies
Toilet roll
Snaffle bits for the horses that pull the farm machinery

We know that whatever you can spare will be so gratefuly received I shall be posting photos online of the items being handed out personally to the individuals.
Your support is so wonderfully received and even the smallest token will make a huge difference to these families who literally have nothing but each other.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our mission!
