Retirement Horse Stall for Jennifer

Jennifer's untimely passing on September 15th after a heroic two-year battle with cancer leaves a huge empty space in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to work with her.

It's hard to quantify the enormous impact she had on Jacobs (and Carter-Burgess before). Professional, energetic and studious to a "t" - provided she'd had at least two coffees beforehand and it was after 10am - her contribution to advancing the Jacobs brand and changing our communications culture was huge.

A born networker, she took to the (Herculean) task of co-ordinating scores of engineers, clients and photographers like a duck to water, succeeding in everything she put her mind to. In work terms, she leaves behind a sizeable pair of cowboy boots that nobody else in Jacobs will ever be equipped to fill.

But Jennifer's true legacy lies in the many lives she enriched over the years. Her humor, positivity and immense love for life and everything it brings - laughter, companionship, horses, Montana's scenery, flowers and Orphan Girl cream liqueur cocktails - radiated from every interaction with her.

Incredibly, this was never more apparent than in her final months, when her mind and character grew even stronger as her body began to fail. Her selflessness, strength and love in the face of increasingly bleak medical news should be an inspiration to all of us and will never be forgotten.

In honor of the fantastic memories that Jennifer leaves behind, her colleagues past and present have decided to raise funds for a "Jennifer Malone Memorial Stall" in Kentucky, where a number of lucky retired or rescued thoroughbred horses will be able to enjoy the care and love that Jennifer gave to her beloved four-legged friends throughout her life.

Please help us by donating what you can to help. Any funds in excess of our initial $2,000 target will go towards additional food, shelter and care for the horses in Old Friends Equine Farm.
