The St. Louis Ambassors were established in 1965 as a philanthropic organization helping Saint Louis and the surrounding areas. In 2014, after the world turned its eyes to the city of Ferguson, the St. Louis Ambassadors sought to encourage the community of Ferguson and North St. Louis County to have conversations that had long been overdue.
In August, 2015, FergusonUSAHotTalk.com began as an internet-based radio station set to meet the needs of the people of the city of Ferguson, Mo after Michael Brown died. It had shows that discussed politics, racial tension, life skills, sports, veteran lives and every other topic pertinent to its listeners.
Over the past 4 years, the city and area of Ferguson, Missouri has changed economically, politically and socially. One area that hasn't changed is the need for continued conversation. Unfortunately, this vital resource was forced to stop broadcasting in July,2019.
This is why we started this GoFundMe. In order to continue the progress we've made over the past few years, we need to cover costs that have not previously been taken care of. This includes rent, phone, internet services, streaming services, etc. The total cost to bring us back online comes to just shy of $2500. Of course, we will need to generate monthly income to stay on the air. This will be done by providing the opportunity for local businesses and organizations to spread their individual messages through advertising and Public Service Announcements.
New plans include not only live broadcasting from your favorite hosts, but including your favorite podcasts, both audio and video, community events and allowing for live two way phone calls, which we have been unable to do for the past 6 months.
