Restroom project for Karenni Refugee Middle School

Donation protected
This proposal is to build one restroom for students at Karenni Middle School No (2) in Karenni Refugee Camp 1. There are around 274 students (150 male and 124 female) and 24 teachers (male 4 and female 20) in the Karenni middle school No -2.

There are two restrooms in the school. However, one restrooms have damaged and full because it was built since in 2008 and have been used for long time. Since the toilet have damaged, it is not convenient for students and teachers to use the restroom in school time. Because of one restroom is useable only, there is not enough for all 274 students and teachers to use because students and teachers use the same toilet. They have contacted with EH (environmental Health) to solve the toilet problem, but the EH organisation does not have enough money to build and until now the toilet is not built yet.

According to teacher Hsu Reh, the students waste much of their times when they have to wait
one another to use restroom. A teacher Naw Muu Gin said, “we have not enough toilet to use, because it have been using over 12 years. Sometimes we go to use toilet near the neighbourhood in our school”.

Therefore, we, organiser with school teacher are trying to build a new restroom in the middle school No-2 for the student’s daily use by writing this proposal. In March 2021, we plan to implement this project with the volunteer work from students’ parents and teachers.

We, organisers and community believe and guarantee that the toilets will sustain for seven years at least. Then, we will need (14,720-baht) amount of money for a whole process of this project, but we are going to request only (13,110 baht) to implement this project successfully.
