Restoring a 1937 Austin Big 7 – One Bolt at a Time

Donation protected
Recently, I was given an old 1937 Austin Big 7 as a goodwill gesture. It’s rough, rusty, and honestly, I have no idea if it’ll ever run again. But something about it grabbed me — maybe it's the history, maybe it’s the challenge, or maybe it’s just the idea of bringing something this old back to life.

I've never taken on a project like this before, and I'm under no illusions — this car is going to be a lot of work. But I want to give it a real shot. Not to flip it or show it off, but to restore it piece by piece and maybe learn something along the way.

That’s where I’m asking for a bit of help. I’ve started this page to raise some funds for the parts, tools, and materials I’ll need to get this thing rolling again. The Big 7 is almost 90 years old, so finding original or compatible parts isn’t easy — or cheap. Every bit helps, and if you’ve got advice, knowledge, or just want to follow along, I’d love that too.

Thanks for reading, and if you decide to support the project in any way — thank you. Let’s see if we can get this beast back on the road.

Cheers,
Richard
