Restore Robert

Robert was the Frozen Food Manager at Kroger for 13 years, but in April was demoted and had a significant cut in salary. He is one of the most helpful Kroger employees I have ever met. Nextdoor has a thread with over 200 posts from the community, of people supporting Robert, confused about how someone so helpful and loved by so many in the community could possibly be demoted and have his salary cut.

While investigating, it came to our knowledge that the brakes went out on his 2012 Kia, and he had it towed to a repair shop, and they gave an estimate of $740 to fix the brakes. He asked for some time to think about it, and they gave him three days. On the third day he called, only to discover that they had had his car towed to an impound lot. Now he needs $500 to get it out of the lot.

This is an immediate and urgent need, as the price is going up every day. Once we can get it out of the lot, we will have it towed to a repair shop, and have the brakes fixed. Anything above the immediate need to repair his vehicle will be put towards other needs his loss of salary have caused. This is a chance for the community to come together and support Robert in a very practical way as we work together to influence Kroger to Restore Robert to his former position and restore his wages.
