Restore Prayer Warriors Church

The Prayer Warriors Church has been in existence for 50 years. The Prayer Warriors family is unfortunately suffering a tremendous hardship and is in jeopardy of closing its doors and losing the ministry. At this point, the church is in serious need of urgent help!

The Prayer Warriors Church was located on 10243 S. Wallace in Chicago, Illinois for about 20 plus years. In the year of 2002, the pastoral leadership and the congregation decided to renovate the church building in an effort to serve more members as well as the community in general. The renovation lasted for a total of two years. The renovation was completed in 2004. About 8 months after the renovation was completed and the congregation and community were enjoying the new building, tragedy struck. The newly renovated building was burned to the ground in March of 2005. A rotten tree fell on ComEd power lines, which set the transformer on fired on the side of the church building, then the sparks from that hit the tree and the fire began to spread downward into the church building, causing a complete loss.

The pastoral leadership filed a claim into ComEd regarding the incident. However, ComEd refused to acknowledge its responsibility for the damage caused by its very own power lines. The pastoral leadership exhausted all other options before deciding to sue ComEd for the damages. The pastoral leadership contacted the Law Offices Vrdolyak to represent the church regarding the lawsuit against ComEd, however the Law Offices of Vrdolyak were unsuccessful in obtaining success.

The Prayer Warriors Church had no choice but we relocated and start to rebuild its ministry and its membership. The church relocated to the West Pullman area around December 2005. Since relocation, the church has endured many hardships such as loss of membership; going from 100 members to 15 members including the Ministerial staff; grave financial loss; countless resources, and much more. The church is currently in foreclosure with Marquette Bank after banking with them for over 30years. Instead of celebrating our 50th year anniversary as a ministry, we are now closing our doors and saying goodbye. The ministry that was once known as the combat kid, is now facing its hardest battle ever.
