I'm calling on all generous hearts to help me support a member of my parish, Mr. George Dorsey. If you've been to Mass at Historic St. Paul Catholic Church, then you've seen him sitting in the front row, an elderly African-American man in a wheelchair with a prosthetic leg. He joined the parish about this time last year, and I've seen him every Sunday that his health allows. Even though you could say he's "down on his luck" (more than most of us will ever experience), he always proclaims "God is Good" with a joyful heart and a smile on his face.

I specifically remember when he bought a van last fall. He was so proud; he told me that van gave him freedom and independence. However, it's an old van and in need of some major repairs. With his permission, I am collecting money for these repairs to restore his independence. If you are blessed with daily comforts, like me, please consider helping support Mr. Dorsey.
